Create your own unique piece of history

A temperature blanket is a crochet or knit blanket that documents the temperatures of a given location over a length of time.

Planning one can be confusing.  But it doesn’t have to be.

I’m a bit obsessed with temperature blankets, myself.  Every December finds me starting or finalizing my plans to document the next year’s temperatures.  But I didn’t let my obsession stop there.  I also created this website to help other people plan their temperature blankets easier.

I’ve put together information in a way that’s simple, straightforward, and fun.  The less time you spend planning the more time you can spend crafting!  I’ll help you weed through all the options you find so you can actually start your project.

So if you’re ready to jump in and start planning your temperature blanket, head to my Start Here page to figure out the best way I can help you.

Temperature Blanket 2016: End of January Update

About a year ago I began to really get interested in quilting. I got a quilting book for Christmas and subscribed to a quilting magazine. I tackled my first project early this year, a quilted throw pillow. To be honest, it didn’t take much to quilt it and I was […]

Hand quilting or machine quilting?

Current me: Welcome to my first temperature blanket tutorial! I know temperature blankets can be intimidating and this was my first effort to help others to figure them out. I wrote this in December 2015, so “this year” means 2015.  Happy reading! Past me: It’s getting close to the end […]
