I made sure to work on my temperature projects this month because I don’t want to have my 2016 projects hanging too far into 2017. I’ve made a plan to get the 2016 projects done (hopefully!) by the end of January. The anniversary blanket can’t be finished until later this year. Anyway, since I actually worked on them I can do an update with information on the progress of all of my projects.
2016 Temperature Shawl
I’ve finished through August now. That means I only have 4 months of work left to do. I’m looking forward to getting into the lower temperatures so I don’t have to use quite so much orange. It’s sad when you use a color so much it stops being your favorite color.
2016 Temperature Blanket
I’m close to finishing March with this blanket. It’s surprising how far behind I am with it. I was trying to work on these squares but hit a road block when one of the colors I needed was attached to my shawl. Since I didn’t want to stop working on it, I skipped that day and worked on the next few days. I can’t connect them together until I get that skipped day in, though.
Anniversary Blanket
I got a month or so done on this blanket. It’s still interesting to be working on temperatures from so long ago. I keep a calendar out and wonder what each day was like.
2017 Temperature Blanket and Scarf
Seeing as today is the first day of the new year, I don’t have any progress to show for either of these projects. I’m excited to start using temperature readings from my weather station. I have reassigned a skein of Paddy Green from one of my Project Clean Queue projects. Now I’m ready for the strong possibility (especially looking at the weather forecast) that Indiana will give me a 50 degree day before too long.
If you’re curious, the project I took it from was my Slytherin scarf. I’ve changed my mind and want to do that scarf in Homespun instead of Super Saver. I made a Ravenclaw one for my husband for Christmas and I like the way it looks and feels.
