I’ve been getting a decent amount of crafting done, even if I’ve not been documenting it for the website.
What I finished
In July I finished a cotton blanket I was knitting for our younger two to use during the summer. We didn’t get much use out of it but I was hoping it being a cotton yarn it wouldn’t add much heat while giving the feeling of being covered up. It didn’t seem to be much better than other blankets.
In September I finished my first pair of knitted socks out of fingering weight yarn. I really enjoyed making them! I also made a second and third pair of socks in October. Before the third pair I bought some longer DPNs to try to reduce the cramping in my hands. That seemed to help. I’m glad for that considering how much I reveled in making the socks. No second sock syndrome for me. Yet. 🙂
Also in October I finished a scarf out of Homespun and Buddy’s sweater (from last Christmas). There are still two projects I have to finish for his presents from last year.
In November I knitted up some fingerless gloves (Semplice Mitts) to try out the Galileo yarn from Knit Picks. And because my other pair seemed to have disappeared.
Progress I made
I’d caught up with my 2022 temperature pillows, but I fell behind again in November.
Other projects I got some progress in on: Puffed Sleeves shawl, Bubble bath mat, Snoodie, Golden Halo Mobius
The Bubble bath mat makes my hands hurt if I work on it too much, so I have to only do a half row a day.
I started the Golden Halo Mobius last month when I had a bad day and ended up tacking an O’Go on an order from Joann of Christmas activity stuff for the kids.
December 2022 plan
I plan to get as much done as possible this month, but the holidays aren’t going to help much. I also want to set my crafting goals for next year by the end of the month.
